A new chapter has been written in women's cricket history. In the second semi-final of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025, India defeated defending champions Australia by five wickets. Playing at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, Australia batted first and scored 338 runs in 49.5 overs. In reply, India chased down the target in 48.3 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues' magnificent unbeaten innings of 127 runs and captain Harmanpreet Kaur's 89 runs propelled India into the final. This was the highest successful run chase in the history of women's ODI cricket. Previously, Australia had set the record for the highest successful chase against India in the same tournament, scoring 331 runs, but India surpassed that record. India will now face South Africa in the final, who have reached the final for the first time. The match will be played on Sunday. For more news update visit here: https://vibrantnews24.com/ ![]() | |
