Foolish behavior!

This is a KJV Bible study guide.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

[Are you one of the fools spoken of in the above verse? Once a person admits He exists, then they are accountable to Him. That is the true reason many deny He exists. Many don't want to be accountable to anyone for anything. Go figure. There is none that do good means what? Read the next verse and Romans 3:23 for your answer. Please read Psalm 10, 14 and 53 completely for a little more insight].

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

[If you are leading a team of horses or oxen and are plowing a field, you cannot turn your head and keep looking back or you will not plow a straight line forward. God uses many agricultural terms in His word and this means God can't use you if you go back to your old sinful ways! Once you pick up your cross and follow Jesus, this is your main path to follow straight on. If you keep looking back, or keep making excuses, you are not fit to serve Him, and are not fit "for the Kingdom of God." Only those looking forward to eternal life, believe in Christ and do the will of God will see the Kingdom of God].

Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."
[Want to learn more? Reverence God properly; respect what He has done and can do. A fool is someone that hates Godly advice, sound wisdom and instruction; many even deny God exists. These people deceive no one but themselves].
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
The great hindrance to all true wisdom is the thought that we have already attained it (Plumptre).

Some of the many verses on this topic that are important: Proverbs 12:15, 13:20, 14:16, 15:2 and 15:14; Ecclesiastes 7:9. Based on these verses, what does God think of those that think they are wise? Are they really wise? I don't think so.
Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
[Many think they are wise (geniuses), choose not to revere God, hate Him and even the mention of Him. Is there a way out of that foolish behavior? Yes, truly repent and change their ways].
Seek wisdom and knowledge that comes from above.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
An example of foolish behavior can be read in the book and chapter that is next; even his name means fool:
1 Samuel 25:3 Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

Nabal means what? naw-bawl'; the same as; dolt; Nabal, an Israelite:—Nabal. Nabal = "fool". (This info comes from the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).

Study the whole Bible, cover to cover. Not that many know it, but, we are commanded to study God’s word; see the next verse.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (Have you complied)?
