primus merch News The fervor was palpable among the fans as they proudly touted their resume of shows attended, t-shirts collected and depth of discography. They were a devoted crowd and Les Claypool, Ler LaLonde and Tim "Herb" Alexander were more than happy to oblige. Unlike other shows that tend to favor reproducing the studio albums with a minimum of jams and solos, this night was all about demonstrating the creativity and artistic insanity that has kept Primus relevant for decades. The trio started off the show with a selection from their earliest release, Frizzle Fry. After that they took a brief excursion into the '90s with Hoinfodaman from Green Naugahyde. They then returned to the '90s for the rest of the set, occasionally dipping into a few early favorites. Next up was an all-new track called Southbound Pachyderm which blended into a track from Rush, the progressive rock band that Claypool frequently cites as an influence. For the remainder of the tour Les Claypool & The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade will be joined by Tool's Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor plus a special guest each night. | |
