On Chilombo, the singer and songwriter’s third album, that formula is pushed to its limits. She followed up with a deluxe version in July, adding remixes and guest features from Snoop Dogg and Kehlani to the LP’s original nine tracks. For 4/20, Aiko released a music video for one of the album’s highlights in ‘Tryna Smoke’. The visual sees Aiko and her friends smoking at a party, with Aiko’s eyes getting cartoonishly wide in a way that’s almost kaleidoscopic. Aiko has a tee collection to accompany the visual and soundtrack. From t-shirts to hoodies, the merch pays tribute to the LA-based singer’s ‘Trip’ project, with designs featuring psychedelic patterns and vivid colors. The tees are made by Fruit of the Loom and Gildan, and are available in sizes from XS to 5XL. The shirts are printed with the latest ink to garment technology and are eco-friendly. Plaques Known for her ethereal voice and versatile music, Jhene Aiko got her start by contributing back-up vocals to R&B group B2K and appearing in their music videos. Her breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of her debut EP, Sail Out. It featured the lead single "The Worst," which peaked at No. 43 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The album also included the collaboration with Childish Gambino on a song titled "Bed Peace." The high-profile releases secured her a co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music. Throughout her career, Jhene Aiko has collaborated with the likes of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Big Sean. She has appeared on several mixtapes and has released three albums, including her latest effort, Chilombo, which earned her multiple Grammy Award nominations. Jhene Aiko has also partnered with Viacom's Get Schooled, an education nonprofit that uses pop culture to inspire students toward higher education.
