Why spring is one of the best times to sell your home?
The weather’s getting better
As we mentioned above, the weather is going to improve from now (unless more snow appears, but fingers crossed it won’t!) and this brings people out and about. Potential buyers are more likely to go out and explore areas they might like to live in when the weather is nice opposed to when it’s dark and gloomy.
Not only that, but better weather means better marketing for your home. Pictures are an important way to hook a buyer’s interest and get them to come for a viewing. Grey and dim photos won’t have the same appeal as those taken on a beautiful spring day. It’s not a deal breaker but it certainly does help.
Our mental attitudes change too. When the weather is nicer, we’re going to feel more positive and happier in what we’re doing and that makes a difference, both from your point of view as a seller and a potential buyer’s.
Take advantage of brighter days
To follow on, the brighter days means more road trips and time spent outdoors. Use this time to offer advice about places to see in the area that potential buyer’s can visit. If you can showcase the area and your home in the best light, it’s going to stick in their minds longer.
It’s also time to get back into the garden and make sure it’s ready for viewings and use as summer arrives. This will be of interest to buyers and any pictures taken for marketing will also include this area of your home, so make the most of it.
